It is interesting but it's a pretty smart move, in my opinion. Give people an option to run the same cars in endurance and sprint format. I hope it helps car counts for both series. The experiment this year seems to have gone well. I saw the races at St. Petersburg and I'm hoping it's even better in Houston.

Certainly will make for some interesting combos and allows a large number of different cars in the series. It would also allow a team to crossover from GrandAm GTD to SCCA World Challenge if they wished.
A bit concerned that it may also raise the price of admission to World Challenge. OTOH, maybe it indicates a strengthening of World Challenge.
