  • where to sit at Homestead?

I am heading to Homestead and wondered if those who have been could offer any advice on how high you need to be to see?

I will probably just get the ticket when we get to the track but any help would be welcomed.
If the league is not going to shift their stance on the fees I would imagine all of the ovals would start being replaced by "chamber of commerce financially supported" TV infomercials dressed up like a car race for different city centers across the USA.

    Pick a seat, any seat!

Went last year. Halfway up or higher is better. All seats are in the main grandstand across from the pits. This track however, has viewing areas on top of the garage area just behind the pits. If you want to see the backstretch you need to be above halfway.

Be prepared. If the sun is out it will be HOT!! Take plenty of blocker, wear a hat ( to those of us over 40 that is essential! ) and drink plenty of fluids. The offering of food there is veried and ethnic. Nice track and very clean.
      Have attended: Indy 500 (36), Belle Island (3), Kentucky (4), St Pete (3), Homestead (1), Texas (2) Michigan (5), Cleveland (3), Iowa (6), Chicagoland (5), IRP (2), Eldora (3)...

damlit thanks for this info. So any row above 24 would be good enough to see the backstretch?

I went last year. Anything above 24 would be good. Flat track, easy to see whole track from main grandstand. Damilt' right. If you are not use to the Florida weather, you will be3 surprised how hot it will seem. DO NOT forget the sunscreen unless you like looking like a lobster on a plate. Even if it is a beautiful day in the mid 70's, you'll still burn after a few hours in the FL sun. Been in FL for 23 years.

          Have fun.

they actually built the backstretch there at a slightly higher elevation than the front to make it easier to see .

                it's a first class facility.

but where is this garage viewing area?
                It's a brand new day.
