Qualifying delayed again due to Serious Accident?

As a father of a 3yr old and a 5yr old myself, it makes me cry, literally. I can't imagine what those kids are going through tonight. Its just not fair.

Just letting you guys know that Robby (RBM) was like best friends with Jeff. I had talked to Janet not to long and she told me. Robby is doing real good and it was a scary moment. Robby had just talked to him not to long before the accident when that hit him hard than ever.

I came home expecting to see who qualified, since I had to take my son to pre-school, and then find out a driver was killed today. That was sad enough, but to then learn he had two small children, words cannot describe. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jeff's family, especially to his wife and kids.

I can only imagine that after what Florida went thru with Dale Earnhardt, that they want to really take their time and allow a complete investigation into the accident scene?

The last three years have been marred too many times by the realities that drivers face when they get behind the wheel. I feel sad for his family and the entire racing community.

Extremely sad news. The Clinton family is very well known and respected in the St. Louis metro area. Jeff’s father (recently inducted into the local sports hall of fame) has had ownership interest in several professional sports franchises and is a racer himself.

Also for the many friends in and out of the racing community, as well as for those who will get back in their race cars today or tomorrow and drive.

This is truly sad. Gives us all a stark reminder of what danger these drivers face every time they go behind the wheel.
