  • Qualifying delayed again due to Serious Accident?

According to indyracing.com, qualifying originally scheduled for 1:20pm, has been delayed due to a very serious accident.

I am assuming that this was for the sports car group, who were practicing I think.

Anyone know anything. It doesn't sound good.

Very sorry to say that TSL reports a driver fatality in Grand Am practice. Nothing more.

If anybody gets word of who was involved, please post it here. The Grand Am ( http://www.grand-am.com )website makes no mention of the incident.

        Thanks

Track is closed until local police department does it accident investigation. If they don't get the track back in time, it will go on owner points from last year

The driver was Jeff Clinton. He was driving the Archangel Lola in SRPII. It looks like he spun going into turn one, went backwards, lifted off, and landed upside down in a gravel trap.

                          Sad loss.
