  • Smashmouth at Chicagoland

I saw the schedule for Chicagoland and they have listed a 10am concert and Smashmouth is playing! Hope that gets more to go and I might go to this one.

    SmashMouth???

I don't recall seeing any videos by them on Country Music TV?

Actually I did meet their drummer a few years back at Indy, he worked on Airton Dare's crew. Funny guy

They aren't country they are rock. They have the hit I love called "All-Star". The lead singer (Am I right?) was at Miami and did the one thing with Elanie Mellancamp with Al Jr's car cause Smashmouth was a associate sponsor or something on Al Jr's car.

They must be big-time race fans. I've seen that band's name pop-up serveral times in reference to attending races from a few different series.

SmashMouth has been a long time IRL supporter. They have played concerts at various venues in the past (Vegas comes to mind). They are also a sponsor of the Kelley Racing Corteco Dallara Chevy driven by Al Unser, Jr

Wasn't it an autographed Smashmouth hat that Kyle Petty climbed back into his flaming crashed race car to retrieve at one of the BY400s?

I know maybe 3 songs by Smashmouth but I think they are more for the under 30 crowd.
Hmmm lets see a bunch of Gen Yers go to see Smashmouth and stay for Indy car race and maybe just maybe a few will return next year
That idea's just nutty enough to work!!
Very Good idea IMHO. Though Martina Mc is easier on the eyes.

A note on the race schedule at Chicagoland.

The IRL race is at 12:00 noon (central).

The IPS race is at 2:45PM (central).
