I recall an annoucement about the Duesenberg Brothers sometime between March and May last year. I searched the archives here and can't find it, but I expect it's not in the archives anymore.
I just wish I could remember the details about it--perhaps some other person from Colorado remembers it, because I know it caught my eye in the local paper.
Anyhow, I was interested in comparing the details in the two articles to see if this one has more meat/believability to it.

They did have some press release last year...But no sponsor...Now they have a sponsor - Western Union...So now they can go racing!!!!
The Deusenbergs have announced IRL plans more than once before. I checked my old Silly Season charts and saw that they first announced IRL plans in the the winter of 1996. Like GlennH, I think I remember something last year also.
I'll believe it when I see the car, but I have to give them credit. They've really been working their way up the development series ladder. That's better in the fanasty realization department than me.

They ran Adam Andretti (little brother of John) in the USF3 series in 2000. Was that series run in 2001? Adam's car was black and yellow #12 with Western Union on the sidepods. I know he was on the podium for the Watkins Glen race and I believe won at least one race. From what I remember the fields were very thin in that series. I'm not really sure if Adam is quite ready for the Indy 500 at this point. I would however hope that he is trying to put a deal together for the Infiniti Pro Series. This announcement holds a lot more weight for me than some of the others that have been announced.

the others ride with you all. You put something in their lives they can't put there themselves." -- Louise Frederickson in Grand Prix
