  • OT-Summary of most recent CART problems

Just some musings from the last 7 days-there are facts boys not rumors:

*10 confirmed cars for next year-despite the XXXX being shoveled by CART.

*77% DECREASE in cash on hand per July 2002 financial statement. This does NOT include he massive amount of $$$ to be paid to the teams who run next year.

*75% DECREASE in stock price since Pook took the helm. Perhaps he and Gary Wendt from CONSECO can team up on their next project.

*Their largest stock holder tried to spend $50 million to lure back a former champion and was told "NO thanks".

*If they are in such great shape-why has FORD NOT announced they will be part of CART next year?

*CART so cheap to run? How come they are not talking about the $110,000/per car to modify to accept the COSWORTH engine?

*Pook calls CART's most successful and recognizable driver a has been (essentially)-wow class act!

Conclusion-if you own their shares at $4-sell. You will be very glad you did.

I keep thinking of Ronald Regan and the cold war. Didn't he basically get the Soviets to spend so much that they crumbled? Hmmm.
