    Hold on a second.

I see Bird made a driver change dated as 8/24, which was Saturday. I thought driver changes were cut off on Friday.

This illegal substitution could be critical for season standings, as there were many of us who learned of the Scheckter abscense Saturday, but realized that under league rules, Saturday would be too late to make a driver change.

    Can we get clarification?

Clearly Bird's change should be dissallowed.

I think changes were allowed up until "Q" run time, I too made a change, I think they both related to Tomas the Terrible.

Bird got his change in before qualifying started. I posted here last week that I would accept changes up until the beginning of qualifying.

Don't count your brazillionaires before they've hatched there, 'Bird.

Basically, it's going to come down to who is better over the last two races - Hornish or DeFerran - as the rest of our teams are identical.

Watch your arse fellers! I'm lurking in 4th and still have a shot if Renna can finish ahead of barron and giaffone. If Gil looks good in Chicagoland practice I'll hire him and then have Gil AND Hornish AND Helio, and Rice to go along with Renna.

                  I could make some changes...

Problem is, all of us have (pretty much) the same guys.

So it's either I play the hand I've got or I make some moves and go for broke.

Fortunately, with how manson has the points laid out, I've got some "ideas" on what I can do...

What's the rule on driver changes?

                    One driver change per race.

Submit the change before qualifying begins.

Stay under the $1 million salary cap.

                      one change per race.

Chicagoland is the tough one, after that Texas will be easy to figure.

                        One per race?

                        Nuts.

That dissuades me from my "rash" move.

Though I still might make it, ya see...

But I have to decide whether to stroke home, and hope the Bird clips his own wings, or to really GO for it.
