With all power in this old body I hope your proposed "Big Car Series" is a roaring success.
Please may I make a couple suggestions. For one thing please take those bill boards off the riight side of the Champ Dirt Cars an once again open the cockpits so the paying customers in the grandstands can see the drivers.
Second idea, free of chanrge: This coming September, after the IRL goes dark for the rest of the year, schedule a Hoosier 100 "INVITIONAL" hopefully at the Hoosier Fairgrounds just like the good old days.
I Invitees would be the unemployed IRL drivers, any CCOW driver caring to try his hand on dirt and a gold engraved invite for Mr. Tony Stewart, I'll bet old Smoke would move heaven and earth to catch a bunch "asphalt specialists" on a mile dirt track. Paul Tracy miight also be interested since he seems to be willing to learn.
I know the Champ Dirt Car sponsors and owners would jump for joy at the chance of having these "name" drivers setting in their cars.
I'll bet the driver's sponsors would be glad to see the uniforms come out of the closets for a highly publicized go-around.
Maybe just maybe tv would be interested in such an off the wall promotion, maybe it might be enough that woe be unto the engine company, read Japanese, who prohibits abn of their "drivers" from competing from competing with another engine even on dirt
The best part is you two Jasons might be able to buy grovceries for another couple of weeks.
There is enough time, send up a trail balloon and see what happens.
