That "A160" is a sports car?!It looks like Steve Irkel's car!

Different men, from vastly different backgrounds, focused on the same goal – a white line painted on a yard of brick 500 miles ahead.

Cute video, but I would of loved to see them put a SLK on the track. Race car vs. Sports car.
I have to admit though, 115mph for a car like the A160 is pretty impressive. It's impossible, that's sure. So let's start working.- Phillipe Petit

Ah, there's nothing more exciting than science. You get all the fun of sitting still, being quiet, writing down numbers, paying attention... Science has it all.

"Hello? Brian Barnhart?
I've got an idea for a commercial for you to promote IndyCar. Have an family sedan/suv/crossover vehicle, a NASCAR Cup car, and an IndyCar at the start finish line of Texas (or Indianapolis, Watkins Glen) ..."Had every Athenian citizen been a Socrates, every Athenian assembly would still have been a mob." - Federalist 55

How about Goodyear driving a Honda Road Car, Rusty driving a Busch car, and one of the Indycar drivers in his/her car and turn them loose at the Glen.

Why would any team/sponsor put their car out there to get beaten?
The only way it could happen is if an owner who has his hand in many bags wanted to supply the cars.
Ganassi could supply cars for Grand Am vs. NASCAR vs. Indy Car.
Penske could supply cars for ALMS vs NASCAR vs Indy Car.
But, why would they throw their other programs under the bus like that?

And there was always Tradin' Paint with Gordon and Montoya... the Cup car didn't exactly look like a winner in that one!

There was a TV show close to 20 years ago, PBS probably, filmed at Mid Ohio part of which compared the speeds of cars. They started a K-car from pit road, then a little while later a Dodge Daytona turbo maybe, then Bobby Rahal in an Indy car. Rahal caught the sports car just before it caught the K-car and h blew past both like the were fence posts.
It would be an entertaining comparison for someone to stage today, minivan, Corvette, Grand Am, Cup and Indy car. I can't see why the slower of the cars would be soooooo embarassed to be shown. Top speed on any track wouldn't be a closely guarded secret for anyone who has a basic knowledge of racing. If just showing the speed difference between and Indy car and a Cup car would rock the foundation of NASCAR or a single sponsor there are plenty of writers who certainly would have found a way to do it to show them up by now."You can't arrest those guys, they're folk heroes"
"They're criminals"
"Well most folk heroes started out as criminals"

Wasn't there a street car vs. Winston Cup car vs. Indy Car comparo on some television magazine car show a few years back? I could swear there was something setup at a large oval where the starting points were handicapped to bring the vehicles across the line at the same time. I can't remember what show though.
