Spears Movie in Indy,and possible Indy500 movies?

Rambling thoughts:
1) Elaine Irwin-Mellencamp comes to mind - perhaps she is/can be involved;

2) Bring in Anthony Edwards, Florence Henderson, James Garner, Jason (plays himself?), Steven Tyler (ok, overboard!), and many other plausible ideas;

3) I like the historical aspect of a future film (Hoosiers), but more recent settings would seem to draw in more new fans;

4) Themes could include:
- A lady winning the Indy 500,
- 'Dynasty' kinda thing with Hulman's,

- without offending anyone, perhaps a documentary/drama about the perils of fame with alchohol and surviving to beat it.
Title could be 'Living on the Edge' (using Aerommith's song!).
Rick and AL could play themselves, perhaps making the biggest impact for the education and knowledge to beat the serious illness of alchoholism.

5) Music from Aerosmith and John Cougar would be attractive sound track;

6) If produced well, a movie themed around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway could be a must see. Not too fancy (Imax shouldn't be the theme).

hhmmmmmmmmmmmm. do you think it's possible britney could do a loose biography of Lynn St. James or even Sara?

There is alot of humor surrounding Britney, but I have seen her concert on HOB and she is the real deal. It requires a lot of physical endurance and co-ordination to do the things she does on stage, particularly the bungee aerobatics. She is a real athele. She works hard. And those around her say she is utterly unaware she is special, much the same way Buddy Lazier is. She is supposed to be a lovely person.

Any movie she is in is going to draw adolescent boys in like flies, just the crowd racing needs to appeal to if it is going to build a fan base for the future. And of course, it will draw in dirty old men like me.

Yep.

More "Hoosiers" or "Breaking Away", and less "Varsity Blues" or "Driven".

Something that will really depict the essence of the race as we as fans experience it.

I like the idea of a 500 focused movie. I wouldn't want the usual sappy cointived scripts they usually use.

What would be neat is a real, dedicated movie that would follow someone from the dirt tracks at Anderson to finally getting a chance to run Indy. The monetery and emotional toll that it puts on individuals and families. More of a documentary format not Hollywood garbage. real drivers, real teams, real heartbreak, real loss. Something that would roll the Unsers,Foyts and Braytons all in one.

Spears Movie at Indy? as reported a few months ago, singer-actress Britney Spears plans make a NASCAR themed movie and will play the daughter of a successful NASCAR team owner who uses her savvy and experience in the family business to help a driver regain his will to return to racing. She'll do it with the sanction of NASCAR. And if it works out, with the cooperation of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the Brickyard 400. Fred Nation, IMS vice president, said: "We'd be pleased to be considered, especially if NASCAR would like the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to be one of the venues. . . . We will look for a way to cooperate with that." There are several racing film projects in the talking stages, he said, "but one never knows until they happen. Right now there are at least a couple based around the Indy 500, things that are being talked about, and we would hope something would come to fruition." Ann Carli, who is producing Spears' movie, said she hopes to be at next year's Brickyard 400. "We're in the development stages still.
