I really wish there was a 7-11 down here in Champaign to support! I guess I'll just have to make a trip up to Chicago to find one...

You guys do know that 7-11 is a Japanese company. I never hear anything bad about their yen. As opposed to other Japanese comanies.

Their yen isn't requiring that a Japanese driver fill their seat.

Are Pringles and Hersheys Japanese companies also?

No, Pringles is Proctor & Gamble and Hersheys is Hersheys.

Awesome, awesome, amen and hallelujah! I've been harping on this for a long time that 7-11 can be an invaluable partner in promoting the IRL. I do believe I will stop for a Slurpee on may way home.

The "marquees" on the Big Gulp Fountain machines feature Kanaan's car this month at 7-11 stores in Dallas.

They've done a great job. I've seen all of that stuff and more in my local 7 Eleven. I think they have to be one of the best sponsors the IRL has had, they really go out of their way to promote TK, the team, and the series.

All that being said, I'm sure someone will come along to remind us that 7 Eleven is not a legitimate sponsor for AGR, or some other such nonsense.

I am glad to see they are promoting their team. There aren't any 7-11's around here, so it's nice to see you post this info.

You asked for it. With a bit of looking around I came up with this.

Mitsui is the parent of IY Group which owns 7-11.
Mitsui is the 7th largest shareholder of Honda Stock.

So Honda and 7-11 are kind of the same. Sort of.

So what incentive do they have to do all of those promotional things? If Honda is paying the freight for 7-11, they can just sit back fat dumb and happy and send their executives to all the races. But they're out there promoting the IRL, Kanaan, and AGR.
