  • INDY V.I.P. passes part of Oscar SWAG????

I heard on a news show on the radio that included in this years Oscar "goody" bag were VIP tickets to Indy this year, but have not been able to find it in print. Did anyone else hear this??
"I think of Indianapolis every day of the year, every hour of the day, and when I sleep, too. Everything I ever wanted in my life, I found inside the walls of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I love it all, from the first to the last day in May. The moment that race starts is always the greatest moment of my life, and the day I win that race, it will be as if my life has ended. There is nothing more I could want out of life."

Gene Simons stated that "INDY" was going to be going places that is not the norm. Could be interesting way of getting the "news" out that Indy is still racings best bargain.

I think, but can't confirm, that IMS has provided those in other years.

      It really is a nobrainer

How to start a killer block party, get killer guests and everyone will want to come to it.

What irks me (maybe its too soon for the truth), DW was a 16-oval WIN specialist, yet the vast majority those boohooing for him, hardcarders & fans, alike are the same ones trying to kill anything with more than 9 deg banking & 4 corners, where Dan ultimately made his home...

I remember them a couple of years ago. You can check out ebay after the oscars and see the goodie bags start showing up.

I'd love to say that this would be a huge waste of time

but i have to admit,in todays culture, that having the right celebs at the race would prob be more of a draw than the good racing, and good fun that already is in abundance at The 500 Mile Race

          [silly] if you ask me

This has been part of the package in years past.

I know they have also offered them in goody bags for the Grammy's and the Emmy's so this really isn't all that new of a story. I wonder if they offer any for the Razzies???

Here is your story in print:

IMS has done this for quite some time.

If the package includes a free room at the posh Brickyard Crossing, I'm sure all the Hollywood stars will accept.
