  • Infiniti Pro Series Testing Observations..

    Where was Geoff Dodge today?

    Where was Jay Drake?

    Where was Nick Bussell?

    Where was Travis Gregg?

In this article a while back, George says he was going to have 3 IPS cars this year...

Tony George, the IRL founder who Sunday completed his first season as a team owner, acknowledged that big changes are in the works for Vision Racing.
George said he is close to announcing that actor Patrick Dempsey will become a partner in the team.
George said he is planning for a two-car Indy-car team, with two more cars in the Menards Infiniti Pro Series. No sponsor has been signed, but George hopes to have one in place before the end of the year.
George also hopes to have a Grand Am program to run in the three races that will be held in conjunction with the IRL next season. He hopes to help drive the car along with stepson Ed Carpenter and perhaps Dempsey.

    anyone have any answers??

Geoff Dodge is running the oval races this year. He should be testing on Monday.

Travis Gregg will be testing the Guthrie car on the oval on Monday. He will drive the car at Homestead and Raphael Matos will drive at St. Pete. After that Sean Guthrie (Jim's son) will drive the rest of the season as he doesn't turn 18 until after St. Pete.

Haven't heard anything about Bussell or Drake. Not sure of the status of Vision's program.

I think they should all be in rides this year. Matos impressed me with his speeds today as did Jeff Simmons. Great look out there..

Matos is a whale of a talent. I watched some of his Star Mazda races on Speed. But, I think he is signed to a full-season Atlantics deal, and has his sights set on Champ Car.

Don't think Drake is doing anything.

I think Nick is trying to find a ride.

With the addition of the 2nd ICS car, I'm pretty sure Vision decided to focus on being a 2 car team.
