  • 90th Indianapols 500 just 3 months away.. Lets start the Jungle Fever Today!!!!

Where is my Jim Nabors Audio clip of "Back Home Again In Indiana" ??

Lets here some favorite stories of the track

Someone tell me how great it was back in the 70s when the snakepit was alive

Someone post a picture of the track

Someone post a race day photo / Bump Day photo / pole day photo / practice photo

Someone tell me they can relate to me when i get goosebumps when they play "Taps" and the flyover goes right over our heads

Someone tell me the night before the race they cant sleep because they are too excited

Someone tell me their family traditions race weekend

Someone tell me they can name every driver/color scheme/chassis/sponsors/car number off the top of their head like i can

Someone tell me they live for Indy just like i do

Someone tell me i am crazy for starting this thread

Someone tell me they refresh their browser ever 15 seconds on Indycar.com waiting for something amazing to happen

Someone tell me their worst experience at the track

Someone tell me the funniest thing you have ever seen at the track

Someone tell me the craziest thing they have ever seen or done at the track

Someone tell me they get the same feeling when they step foot out of there car onto the grass of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and you look around and hope that Heaven is just a decimal of what you are looking at right now

This photo fits a few of your requests. Here are some people having a great time at the Speedway last May:

I sure am happy to see a post like this. Now I know I am not the only one with thoughts, feelings, and habits such as those expressed here!

The transformation is complete. The Indy 500 is the only IndyCar race that matters.

                  IMS Bird's Eye View

This is pretty cool. I also have links to similar images of Kansas & Richmond in my Kansas Speedway thread down the page.

...1973 obviously the worst experience at IMS. Sat thru 3 days of rain with the first day having the terrible wreck at the start with Salt Walther culminating on the 3rd day with Swede Savage's horrific crash directly in front of me. And that was my very first Indy 500 as an 8-year old.
