Amazing how many people seem to be working with this goal who previously had no association with the IRL - Gene Simmons, Patrick Dempsey, and Rusty Wallace. It would be great to make some big strides in the public awareness to build on Danica-mania and some interest in the father/son, Mike and Marco, story.
In a bit of Partner news - I flipped on ESPNews, which I must admit I very rarely do, and caught a promo for people to turn on ESPNews in the morning instead of hitting the snooze alarm. In it there are two references to the IRL - 1) Dana slidding into the wall, 2) a snip from an announcer who is reading a story about Danica.Comment

Also recall that Kurt Busch once took a Champ Car Lola out for some laps at Sebring and emerged from the cockpit with a similiar level of enthusiasm. Kurt Busch is now driving for Penske. Thinking about this just a bit more, this could be a nice feature for every race - mic up Rusty and outfit the car with cameras then let him take a few laps around the track at 'speed'. It would help him know what the car/driver are doing at each race, plus it would continue to provide a draw for Rusty fans to see him drive and learn about this new-fangled IndyCar thing.Comment
