The rest of it is pretty iffy, though. I'd love to see Hornish back on top - I guess we'll have to wait and see. Bump this thread a few months into the season and see where things stand.

Here are my cynical responses (for amusement only).

1. Is that counting both IRL and IPS?
2. They will bring out a few field fillers (again) to help get to 33. No bumping.
3. The Danica thing will start to fade and ratings will stay consistant. No big jump.

4. If there are only 18 cars, will it be that "momentus" anyway? Plus, its very doubtful anyone else will beat the big 3 teams anyway (Penske, Ganassi and AGR). But, she will certainly not be the worst driver on her team this year.

5. Marco is way too inexperienced to expect to win a race this year. Winning a IPS race on a road course does not equate to winning a road course race in the IRL.

6. With less ovals, means less chance for Sam to win the championship. There is only one race he wants to win anyway, so he could probably care less about another championship.

7. Haven't had one in 5 years. And with little team sponsorship out there, I don't think it would look too good if the league had a sponsor and teams like Cheever, Hemelgarn and Vision did not.

8. He better. His job is on the line. But, since he isn't with the big 3 teams.....

9. Hope so. But, he might be destined to be another Michael Andretti at Indy.
10. Probably will be hard to tell. Some will say it is much better; some will say its much worse. Its a yearly TF argument.

11. This might be on the mark. The IRL will probably foolishly drop Michigan (blaming poor attendance) and add a street parade in San Antonio and the new oval at Iowa. I think a remodeled Vegas might come back on the schedule. I am still worried about Texas's future though. I hope my worries are wrong.....

12. Jack Arute will have stupid references, that I can guarantee.
13. No chance. They are one big, annoying family that can't get enough air time. Look for some sophomoric "hazing" of Lil' Marco ad nauseum.

14. I wouldn't wish that on you. You really want to be a part of that family?

15. He actually hasn't been that embarrassing lately. Redundant and anal, but not embarrassing.
