  • No IRL mention in article

There is an article about Tony Stewart in USAToday. I found this comment interesting as they fail to mention the IRL or Dan Wheldon or Scott Dixon at the Dayton 24 hours race. The only mention is NASCAR driver and winner Casey Mears.

That led him to last weekend's Rolex 24 at Daytona, where electrical problems left him and teammates Andy Wallace and Butch Leitzinger 30th behind race winner and fellow NASCAR driver Casey Mears. Stewart then jetted to Vegas, where his Chevy posted top-20 speeds during the three-day session that ended Wednesday.
Tara was the name of our cat.

Interesting... as much for the fact that they mentioned the Rolex at all and they named Stewart's non-NASCAR teammates as it is that they mentioned Casey.

You DO know that most other racing coverage besides NASCAR in USA Today is parenthetical at best.

I noticed that too. Not as impressive when you realize there were only 28 guys there testing (albeit in 48 cars)...
