John has been a fixture in Open Wheel racing for years and it late in the game here, so I was wondering if anyone has any insight as to where the Menards/Johns Manville $ will be going?

Paul Menard
Robby GordonNatural Born Cynic
What irks me (maybe its too soon for the truth), DW was a 16-oval WIN specialist, yet the vast majority those boohooing for him, hardcarders & fans, alike are the same ones trying to kill anything with more than 9 deg banking & 4 corners, where Dan ultimately made his home...

Can you spell "DEI?" That is my guess. I think Paul is a driver for them down "yonder." Apparently it was not enought last year in the IRL.He has sponsored runners up twice in the past few years but no gold ring. Too Bad. I have pulled for Herm Johnson to Vitor Miera. He had to be one of the longest conscutive owners/sponsors at INDY out done by Foyt.
Witnessed Mario's "Miracle at Indy"...Watched 3 win their 4th Indy 500...Was there for Petty's 200th win...Saw the last Novi qualify

His money is going somewhere other than the IRL........
The decisions the IRL has made in the past 3 years made this an easy choice for JM.....and it won't surprise me to see more dollars leave the league/series, and that's unfortunate.
If the IRL ever goes back what it was supposed to be about, maybe JM's dollars will return.....but until then, forget about it.The transformation is complete. The Indy 500 is the only IndyCar race that matters.

I'm pretty sure you're supposed to be a fan of a series to post in their forum. Its pretty hard to reconcile being a fan of the IRL with a juvenile taunt like the one quoted above.Center Grove Trojans

2015 6A Football State Champs
2011 Track State Champs
Center Grove Jr. Trojans

Menard couldn't win it running the full season either. He's better off just writing the checks.Center Grove Trojans

You have no idea how much money was spent on the engine program and team while JM was involved in the series.
I'm pretty sure that if JM were to be funding a 2 or 3 car effort, many around here would be very pleased. JM "votes" with his money, and I applaud him for that. It's too bad more people don't do the same. The transformation is complete. The Indy 500 is the only IndyCar race that matters.
