It's not much, but "throw me a frickin' bone, people!"
"I didn't hear a single comment about airboxes, "carbashians", or how terrible the car looked. I did see dozens and dozens of little kids in awe of the speed and how cool the cars looked. We should learn from our children." --Danny Noonan
How come they are giving Marco his Rookie test on a road course and not an Oval. Changing the testing policy also takes away what AGR was trying to do by "Fielding" two IPS teams right?
"Ninety-two years ago [the Indy 500] was probably like any other race," said 2005 winner Dan Wheldon. "But over time it's just created so many storylines and history for people of our generation that now it's just massive. People value that history and tradition and you just can't take that away."

Why not??
It is a better test of a drivers general skills and should readily show if he is qualified to handle the track challenges as well as understand and have control of his car.
Well no one worrying about his skill on the road circuits.. but he has no real experience on ovals and his 2 oval starts in IPS left alot to be desired.. Im afraid this kid will get himself hurt.. He has no bussiness driving an Indycar on a oval in competition..
"Paff has been closer to the mark than anyone will give him credit for."

"Paff is far more right than any of you will EVER give him credit for.
As non politically correct and un IndyCar friendly as it is, it's the truth. "

If you're going to make such a harsh statement, at least spell business right...
He'll be fine in the IndyCar. He's going to smack some walls, but he's going to have some real shining moment as well.
He's going to smack a lot of walls, and I for one saw his "driving" during the IPS at Indy race and it was not a good sign of things to come. He was all over the track and looked like just a midpacker in the IPS oval races at best! Still, wish I was a rich kid!!!!

Absolutely...why test on an oval in series that...oh wait...
I don't have a bone but you can have some grissel off a roast I just put on the grill.
GRILLING!!!! oh how i wish i could...........
burn ban has been in effect for over two weeeks now. oh for a hot grilled steak.......hell give me a hot dog with grill marks.
please pray for rain for us so i can fire up the grill again..........
far as marco...........daddy says it's ok, so let it be. as dads we all know we're not gotta put our kids in a situation (on purpose) that will be too much for them to handle......right??
like a 300zx turbo? at 16??
or a suzuki 1100?
he doesn't tell me how to raise my kid, and i won't tell him how to raise his. i don't have to agree with him or he with me..........

Don't sweat it, he'll get his chance at ovals too.
The first picture in the article is disturbing. An Indy Car turning into an apex, and a worn out uniroyal protecting the grass. This isn't the IKF championship, it's supposed to be an OVAL based BIG LEAGUE series. At least make the FEW road courses World Class please.
i love how people freaking moan (i have much harsher words i want to use here) about wanting POSITIVE things for the IRL, but moan about having Marco in the series.....it just drives me freaking nuts....
why do we want to rip the freak (harsh word again) out of a TALENTED, AMERICAN, HOUSEHOLD NAME!!!!!
I know alot of people dont like the Andrettis, and i know im one of few fans who grew up loving the Andretti's.....but why are we writing him off so fast?

Cause some of the new IRL "fans" would rather see more no-name, unmarketable, foreign F1 wanna-be's in the series instead of someone who American's have actually heard of. We have already run off a Mears and a Foyt (and don't look to have much interest in Little Unser). Might as well hit the Andretti's as well. Ya think the France's would EVER let their biggest family names migrate away to other series? Uhh, no they wouldn't.
