That too was what really caught my eye. Two cars in IPS, great news for the IPS series. And 5 cars for AGR at Indy.
Wait where's the Gloom and Doom.....oh yeah this will become a "Marco's too young thread...the IRL is doomed".
I think its all positive.Tara was the name of our cat.

Gee, Maybe Jack Roush should take a look at this. I wouldn't mind if he came in with 5 cars.Randy

I think its all positive."I didn't hear a single comment about airboxes, "carbashians", or how terrible the car looked. I did see dozens and dozens of little kids in awe of the speed and how cool the cars looked. We should learn from our children."

[QUOTE=skypigeon]It is all positive from a numbers standpoint. Still, I think the very recent experience of one A.J. Foyt IV gives good reason for pause. There is such a thing as pushing a young driver too fast, too soon.
Marco is going to have a few advantages: Three experienced teammates, engineers, and I think a more understanding and patient owner. On top of that, better equipment and a better overall operation for AGR than Foyt. If their talents are even, I say Marco is a midpacker from day one. But I think Marco is better(IMO)

We'll see about Marco, but my guess is that this kid is the real deal. It is way too early to tell.

I've got to give Michael credit. He must believe in the IRL or he wouldn't be fielding four cars for the season or five cars at Indy. And two IPS cars! I've never been a Michael Andretti fan, but he seems to be a good businessman and has done a lot for the series these last few years. I wonder how he is running all those cars without the Honda bucks.

You think Honda or AGR gives a hoot as to the "limit" that should be set so each team is equal? Spend it like you got it. That's what Barnes and company did.If you don't stand behind our troops, PLEASE, feel free to stand in front of them.

[QUOTE=Bryan_Weber]Originally posted by speed upFoyt IV is more than pushing the kid too hard too early. Anthony simply lacks the talent to drive in the IRL. He was agressive right to the point where he stuck the car into the fence. Once, twice, sure.... But he did it over and over and again. A good driver brings the car home in the best position he can with the WHEELS STILL ON.

Is it May yet ?
