  • Movies at the Speedway

This Thursday night we will be showing old movies on the history of the Speedway, since Mr Hulman bought the place. November 14th marks the 60th Anniversary of this event, so we thought we would dig out the history tapes and celebrate and give thanks to a man with a vision.

Location: Shadow of Turn 2 at the Speedway
actually the Flagroom at the Brickyard Crossing Motel
(looks out on to Turn 2)
    Time: Hot Laps :6:30
    Feature: 7 pm
    Checker Flag falls at 9:00pm

Next week the 17th we may still be going down some History of Indy, I have gathered quite a bit of footage on the Hulman Era.

Plus we play to the crowd, when drivers or Chief mechanics show up we usually try an show some footage from their eras. Many a time we have been treated to the REAL story behind some of the history we had just seen on tape.

Johnny Boyd was exceptional with his story of Langhorne and the fiery crash he had there. Jim Rathman had us in stitches with his stories about 2 years ago.

Stop by and we will let you pick something out.
