He’ll probably drop the Motor and just call it “Your name here” Speedway.

F1 Insider learned from a reliable source: The team is for sale. Possible candidate is the American billionaire Roger Penske (82), who has just bought the rights of the Indy Car series and the course in Indianapolis. Penske, whose assets are estimated at 1.6 billion dollars, has great motorsport tradition. Several times he won with his own racing team, the 500 miles of Indianapolis, 1994 with Mercedes engine. Penske is considered a confidant of the Mercedes management team. In 1995, for example, he brokered the involvement of Daimler in McLaren.

Penske, whose son Jay (40) belongs to the Dragon team in Formula E, now wants to expand further in motorsport. There are already talks about taking over the Mercedes team.
