I thought this was official already. If it wasn't official, Michael sure wasn't trying to keep it secret!

"Michael Andretti will make another attempt to break his duck in the Indianapolis 500 this year with his CART outfit Team Green."

Is that a typo, or some British slang that I am not aware of?

British slang for getting of the snied.

So ... TKG has not 1, not 2, but 3 drivers competing for the top spot. Team orders aren't common place anywhere outside of F1, ... but do ya think if it gets tight at the end (like last year), and Mikey's near the lead (like last year) that Dario and Tracy try to hold off the pack ???

Either way ... Michael's my choice for winning the 500. Not my pick, which is different. That would either be Kanaan or Vasser.
M.Andretti and J.Vasser ... at 39 and 36, STILL the best American open-wheel has to offer.

The "break your duck" expression has to do with British referring to a string of zeroes as duck eggs.

I can hear the boos on pole day now.

Wonder how they will do without Panther's help.

Soooo.... would Mikey also show up at Nazareth (the last IRL race before Indy) to get a little extra practice time in that car?

We locals would certainly appreciate seeing him run there! (and Tracy and Franchitti too)

The only way those guys will hold back the pack is by taking each other out and causing a yellow flag!!!

Not that they haven't done that before, mind you.

well my day is complete, I have been very concerned that sir Mikey would not make it to the Brickyard this year--I wonder if he will require the assistance of an IRL team this year to make it in the show????

Then resist the urge. We IRL fans will be cheering for Andretti. An Andretti win at Indy will be memorable.

You might want to talk to your IRL buddies about that first.

I for one will be cheering for him. If you have been to Indy on pole day you would know what I mean. Everytime his name is announced for a qualifying run you here plenty of boos.

They'll have a little more time to get the car right this year.

I'll be there with my son cheering Michael on as I have since his first race in 84.
