Yep, he just picked up some more money for the retirement fund.

And if retirement means running the IRL, some short track races plus the 24 hours of Daytona, I'll be a happy camper. And hey, I just like to see Tony smiling

IMO, Tony's home is a 30/40 lap race that involves nothing other than talent and gassin' it..

Hours long races that involve pit stops, fuel strategies, and constant aero/chassis tweaking takes too much out the drivers hands.

Also Jack Hewitt's drive in the "C" main was awsome. He came from 15th to win. What a racing racetrack!
                    Have a very blessed day!

I'm not gonna deny that one.

What's left for him to win on a short track. He's got all the USAC titles. He's got Turkey Night. He's got the Chili Bowl. Only thing I can thing of is Knoxville. He did just run some laps with Lasoski to test a new motor he is buying for Danny. Though he was sick and the car beat on him a little. Tony said he was a little winded b/c he'd never gone that fast on dirt before. (That's a challenge. Tony LOVES a challenge).

Anybody else becoming Critter Malone fans after that performance?

Outstanding run for a kid with little money but a ton of heart and talent!

The young Hollingsworth kid was pretty good in the B too.

                          OH NO!!!

Just got back from going out with friends for dinner this evening, and sat down to watch the Chili Bowl which I taped (or so I thought) only to discover I had missprogramed the freaking VCR !

I had the darn thing set to ESPN not ESPN2.

Would anyone who taped it be willing to share a copy?

If so please e-mail at [email protected]

Thank you VERY much in advance!

I wasn't referring to Tony's physical condition, workout deal, or anything of that sort. I just think he likes the pure racing of a "feature" type event.

Something that depends much more on his ability to drive the car he has under him, rather than the car that he would have to tell his crewchief that he wanted under him.

I believe he just likes to race, which makes it hard not to like him.

But I still like to pick on him just for being a little *****.

I wasn't talking about physical condition either. He was sick with the flu, and it's the off season. He's allowed!!!

I agree that he really seems to thrive on the show up practice, qualify and race deal. Head out with what you got and see what you can do with it.
