Racer56- went to Brooklyn today. Saw the carat the antique store. Good condition. Wrong scale for me. I only collect 1:18 and that was 1:24. But for $20.00 bucks it's a good deal for somebody.

I would guess that you ask the nice folks at the counter and they can help you.

They also had an A.J. Foyt transporter.
Maybe you will need to check them out!!!

Also for anyone going, in the village of Brooklyn there is a McDonald's, a Burger King and a Subway for your dining pleasure.
I remember when I first started going to MIS in 1987 there was NOTHING once you were past Jackson, MI.
There are also a LOT of Antique shops in the area too, if you like that sort of thing. My wife and I were just down there this past Saturday and I did see a model of an IRL car at the Antique shop in the town square in Brooklyn, it was the one that Scott Sharp drove for A.J. in 1997.

I'll keep trying to "top" this info. If you think you may be going, you should consider making reservations soon if you need them. The Irish Hills area of Michigan (where track is located) is a very busy lake tourist area in the summer.

Sorry guys, I was going to post the Brooklyn Super 8 517-592-0888 and forgot. That is the ONLY national chain motel in Brooklyn. Other towns to check for motels would be Adrian, Michigan if you are coming from the east (Ohio).

Here is a link to the web page for Brooklyn, MI the town the track is in:
http://www.brooklynmi.com/
The Super 8 is new and it is maybe 2 miles from the track, at most.

MIS- AREA HOTEL INFO:
Here is just some info I gathered that may be helpful to those looking for accomodations for the July IRL race at MIS. (This is done as a courtesy so please do not hold me liable. I do not endorse any specific hotel/motel location over another. I could, but I won't. The chains are pretty true to the levels of service you normally expect from each one of these franchises.)
