February 14 is not too far away and I want to burn a cd for a special lady. I have a few songs picked out, but what songs would you have go on a cd for your SO?

DaveL,
I am not familiar with that artist, but when I typed in his name, I got about 15 hits. None for Valentine though. And same for Valentine. Several hits, but not by him. So are there any alternatives of the same song that you know of. And is this someone I should give a listen to?Some people will do nearly anything in order to be able to not do anything.

The Wedding Song - There Is Love
Noel Paul Stookey http://www.noelpaulstookey.com
He is now to be among you at the calling of your hearts
Rest assured this troubadour is acting on His part.
The union of your spirits, here, has caused Him to remain
For whenever two or more of you are gathered in His name
There is Love. There is Love.
A man shall leave his mother and a woman leave her home
And they shall travel on to where the two shall be as one.
As it was in the beginning is now and til the end
Woman draws her life from man and gives it back again.
And there is Love. There is Love.
Well then what's to be the reason for becoming man and wife?
Is it Love that brings you here or Love that brings you life?
And if loving is the answer, then who's the giving for?
Do you believe in something that you've never seen before?
Oh there's Love, there is Love.
Oh the marriage of your spirits here has caused Him to remain
For whenever two or more of you are gathered in His name
There is Love. There is Love.

For comedic relief among the sentiment:
"The Girls in My Life," Randy Newman (from Born Again). Sample:
"Met a girl, in the bakery,
She wanted to borrow my car from me.
I said, 'Take it, baby.'
She took it down, to Mexico,
Ran over a man named Juan..."
For the serious part of it:
"Hard-Headed Woman," the former Cat Stevens
"Give Me Love," George Harrison
"Europa," Gato Barbieri instrumental version
"Dreamwalk," Peter White
"Where've You Been," Kathy Mattea
"Witchcraft," Frank Sinatra
"La-la-la-la-la-la Means, I Love You," Delfonics
"Theme from Midnight Cowboy," any rendition
"Let it Grow," Eric Clapton
Sonata, Op. 27, No. 2, first movement (Adagio sostenuto), Beethoven (more popularly known as "Moonlight Sonata," any performer--almost impossible to screw up)
"Mail Order Annie," Harry Chapin
If nothing else, she'll be overwhelmed by your eclectic musical taste."I didn't hear a single comment about airboxes, "carbashians", or how terrible the car looked. I did see dozens and dozens of little kids in awe of the speed and how cool the cars looked. We should learn from our children."

John Lennon's "Woman" and anything from Lionel Richie's album "Lionel Richie."
"The Wedding Song" is indeed appropriate. We used it and several Lionel Richie songs at our Catholic wedding, before the Church sorta banned secular music during the ceremony.Have a very blessed day!

Rod Stewart also does a great version of "Jealous Guy".
You could always try these two tender romantic ballads :
"I'm A Hog for You , Baby" by Leiber & Stoller
"Shut Up And Don't Interrupt Me ( I'm Trying To Tell You How Much I Love You )" , I've got Humble Pie's versionFan of a small Club Series bankrolled by rich men
