Will they be doing a "Lefty Mudersbach Remembered" piece?

    How 'bout Wild Willie Borsch?

When you lose a blower at 200mph, you just quit steering, flick it aside with your hands, and go on about your bidness.

Sorry but this won't serve to irritate as you hoped it would.

john kernan did the announcing in the staging lanes at IRP last year. Wow! What an awesome atmosphere!

He seemed to be having a good time

Is there somethimg wrong with that? Is it ok for rpm to be at Indy and Michigan, as well as Daytona for a week or so, but nowhere else?

Aren't they also a broadcast partner of the NHRA?

John Kernan,,, has done a better job at RPM,,, that's a fact... Could it be better,,, FOR ME,,, yes... But it could be a lot worst too...

I hope John spend's two week's next year at Indy,,, this is Indy,,, remember...

The race I just watched on ESPN,,, was a great race,,, but horrible coverage... The only thing that could of been worst,,, is no coverage at all,,,and I try to remember that...

If CART ever has a race that is anywhere near the importance of Indy,,, Drag's or 500,,, I hope the John goes there for a week too...
                Yes,,, Yes,,, Tony,,,

Your Grandfather was a friend of Roger Penske,,,

Your Grandfather did business with Roger Penske,,, but

Your Grandfather never trusted Roger Penske,,,

KO that is a fantastic shot of wild willie.

did you know he had narcolepsy?

he'd fall asleep in the staging lanes.

wake up long enough to drive the car.

                  one-handed.

                  he was amazing.
                  It's a brand new day.

In 1965 we didn't need cartoon superheros when the likes of Willie, Sneaky Pete, Dick Landy, the Greek, and Garlits were splashed across all the mag covers down at the local 7-11.

Didn't know about Willie's condition, but I have seen lots of pics of him napping in unusual situations.

When I was about 14 or 15 I had a mag cover resized for my bedroom wall.

Headon shot in the lights of Willie, buttterfly's WIDE OPEN, left rear slick rolled under to the rim, a front wheel torqued off the ground, and Willie's one hand crossing the steering wheel.

                    At 200mph.

They were at MIS for a week and at Indianapolis for a month before The 500.

Guess what? They broadcast The NHRA, too!

And you know what else? The IRL isn't racing this coming week...what do you want them to do? Broadcast from the executive restroom at IRL headquarters? "Uh, yeah Tony, before you get in the stall, could we have a minute of your time?"

I usually ignore ignorant trolls, but I guess I've just had enough.
"The guys on the IRL side went beyond fair. It would have been easy for either side to back out, but this time they wouldn't take 'no' for an answer."..... Jimmy Vasser on the merger.

Sparco = good safety equipment, but bad bait...
"It was actually fun, because you're back fully driving again in these trucks. Ninety percent of the tracks we go to in the IRL, you're flat-out. I was having to lift off the corners some here." - Buddy Rice
