A guy I work with put together a posse of friends to help him move from an apartment to a house, including me.
One of the guys was wearing an IRL 2003 cap. I immediately thought, because there's so few of us, he had to be a fellow TF denizen. So I talked to him about it. Nope, not a TF denizen. BUT...
* He originally bought the season package to get NASCAR tix.
* He went to see the IRL for the h--l of it, and loved it.
* He now sells his NASCAR tickets and keeps the IRL tickets.
And here's the one that'll just shock the CRAP outta y'all:
* He likes watching it because of the CARS. He thinks the cars are cool, and he's impressed that they can run a race at a constant 200+ MPH. Says there's nothing like it.
Amazingly, he's so impressed with it that he didn't volunteer a single opinion of the Wyandotte Police State's ridiculous regulations against bringing your own beverages on a 95 to 100 degree day in July.
Patience is a virtue, friends...
