  • OT-Gov. O'Bannon was an organ donor

As a result of the donation of a cornea from the late Gov. O'Bannon, an Illinois woman may regain her sight.

I recently saw a bumper sticker that said it clearly. "Don't take your body parts to Heaven. Heaven knows we need them here."
    quote:
"It is sad that open-wheel racing has become a buy a ride situation, but it is what it is."

      bump.

All race drivers should do this as well.

IMHO, everyone should do it. Multiple members of my family have had their lives saved by kidney donations. My father unfortunately passed away from pnemonia after his transplant, but my mom's sister and my mom's cousin are both living happy healthy lives because of theirs.

I want to personally thank anyone who has taken the steps to become an organ donor, and urge those who are thinking about it to do it.

I can't figure out why anyone wouldn't participate. Tossing good organs in a hole in the ground when someone else could live seems moronic.

Yeah, and grilled liver goes down well with a nice Chianti. Ffffffffffffffffffffff.

We have donor cards over here, keep it in your wallet and should the worse come to the worst the hospital and next of kin know you would be happy with organ donation. They are not legally binding but make it a lot easier for the doctors to broach the subject with the families.

sorry but i'll never do it. you might think it's just an easy thing to decide Bryan, but it isn't.

              guess i have trust issues.

that, and i get sick of hearing about aged rock stars who needed a liver since they abused theirs and had to live because a lesbian friend of theirs needed a sperm donor.
              It's a brand new day.

                moral of that story?

the rock star they should have let die since i'm sure he used his money and power to get to the front of the line, and i can do without lesbians having kids.
