  • Final disposition of the Falcon?

    Ebay auction

I don't know, but the location would be right...

Those are them. Phillip is insane if he thinks someone will pay $4k for them though.

BTW, 11/22/2003 is the one year unveiling of the car. I'm off to have a drink or 11.

Unbelievable. Say what you want, but this whole saga (and now it's conclusion) is the biggest black eye (even if the general public is obvlivious to it) the IRL received outside of Renna's and Brack's crashes.

Well, that's about the most depressing/disappointing thing, EVER. Thanks RW.

              Scott,

Know that I feel for you...at least you can look at your life and say that you tried versus the many that can cast stones and have never walked in your shoes.

You should be holding you head high tonight and proud that at least you know that you were one of the ones to make a difference. Good, bad or draw...you tried. They simply don't have the courage or the opportunity to do so. You are one of the lucky ones.

No matter what anybody says, there are many that applaud the attempt to make a difference...to try what many are afraid to do. I am one of those that stands and claps with my hands held high at your efforts. Remember the photo of Strang, one of the original visionaries. Even he didn't know how it would turn out. Sometimes you just gotta take a chance. You did.

Keep your head high my friend...you did more in a year than most do in a lifetime.

In case there's confusion (I don't think there is, but I'm making sure), my post was meant in the context of the car's general failure. I.E., that the of the league and teams not supporting the car to get it off the ground. In no way did I mean that the effort to build the Falcon was a black eye to the league. I applaud that effort and would love to have seen an American driver with a Falcon/Chevy/Firestone combo in the 500.

NDPanther...I do believe your post was very clear. I just wanted to support what I thought was a valient effort in a very difficult business climate. I certainly did not mean to upset you. Just make a point that many don't have the opportunity and as one that knows, there are more difficult days than days of glory.

Your post was perfect and at least in my case, very understood.

You don't have to drink alone however. I propose a toast!

Oh, I don't know. Racin Gardner, the racing dentist and AJ punching Arie rank right up there.

Not to mention making a really, really, pretty car. I was rooting for Falcon all the way.

That is a sad sight. Few were pulling harder to see this deal make it to fruition than myself.
