Haas question?

OK, I know not to take Internet rumors for fact but I do question them.

I saw this on another board and was wondering if anyone knew if it was fact or BS:

One thing has become clear about Newman-Haas commitment in the IRL. They have been appointed as GFORCE spare parts distributor for 2004.

A team owner distributing parts? I usually do not get caught up in the "IRL is now CART" threads but this bothers me.

No, I'm pretty sure that is all handled directly through Panoz G Force.

Perhaps they were thinking of Lola. Carl Haas is indeed the US distributor for the Lola chassis used in CART. And that's another reason the first item probably isn't true. Lola would someday like to be approved for the IRL, and I'm sure Haas couldn't distribute both.
