Test in the West 2004?

Anyone know when (if?) the Test in the West is happening this winter?

Nothing official yet, usually it is the first week in February, Fontana starts it off with a media day on Monday, then thay run on Thesday.

I went to PHX this past season and LOVED it...maybe due in part
to JetDoc/Mrs. JetDoc's hospitality!!!

Not only should there be a Test in The South, the IRL should also create a new drag racing series whose premiere event is in the same city, at the same facility if possible.

It should be called the American Straightline Series...

yep!

Spark, the Fontana portion of the TitW has been open to all these past two years, including very reasonably priced food and beverages. You get free run of the place, even pit road.

At Phoenix this year, the general public was excluded at least on Friday, I think they opened up to all on Saturday. At the Fontana portion, most of us stay at the Best Western in Ontario. The Fontana portion has been the same week the past two years, I don't expect that to change.

Gimme a break, skypigeon, I'm still at work, I don't have time to think of puerile acronyms for the things I look for in the opposite sex...

...although I could probably go for the American Straightline Series myself!

Mackie, thanks for the "straight" (uhhh...) info. I've done my time at Fontana on race weekend, but the general informality of the TITW sounds pretty cool. I'm definitely going to try to check it out.

This year everything was a buck, soft drinks, burgers, hot dogs as for water, "that stuff will never sell." Little bottles, by the gallon worth, cost a heck of a lot more then gasoline, I never drink the stuff. I'll be there too.
