Yes it's always good news when injured drivers are able to transfer to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and escape the witchdoctoring that goes on in less civilized spots around the world.
Seriously it is good that he's now where they have the experience to deal with his injuries.
BTW did anyone else notice that Kenny was at Dallas' Parkland Hospital... wasn't that where they took JFK?
Yes it was Parkland but my understanding is that have a very good ortho unit there.........maybe one of the best in the country.

Parkland is as good as it gets for emergencies. I've often told my wife that if I'm seriously injured, get me to Parkland... But then as soon as I'm well enough to be moved, get me the heck out!
I'm glad you guys took that with the humor I intended... I have a buttload of cousins living in the Dallas-Plano area and we are always giving it back and forth.
If you are unlucky enough to get shot, wish for Wishard.
If you stub your toe in the process, you may lose it there.
It is interesting what hospitals specialties are.

What irks me (maybe its too soon for the truth), DW was a 16-oval WIN specialist, yet the vast majority those boohooing for him, hardcarders & fans, alike are the same ones trying to kill anything with more than 9 deg banking & 4 corners, where Dan ultimately made his home...

Yes, I have already told them at work that, if I get hurt, to have me airlifted there.
I think they plan to just wheel me outdoors and leave me for the vultures.
One driver's "fuel strategy" is another driver's "speed up or we will park you!"

Being able to be transferred to Methodist doesn't always mean that you're fine and dandy. Davey Hamilton was still in pretty bad shape when he was transferred. (He has no memories at all of being in the hospital in Texas!)
I don't think Tom Wood is glad that he's still at Methodist hospital either.

Yes, it was. But it is a little different these days. Just looking at the building, there are only a few obscure places where you can even see the structure of the Parkland Hospital of the JFK era. It's all still there; it's just all been covered up by new construction
And as already stated, it is an outstanding facility for trauma and ortho treatment.
