Carb Day 2004?

There was a thread last week that stated Carb Day for 2004 was going to be held on Friday. The poster said that this was heard on channel 13 in Indianapolis. Was this ever confirmed by anyone else?

I have not been able to find any verification.

I would like to know to, I am bringing 2 first timers to Indy (one went to Nazareth race day with me this year) and if Carb day is moved to friday maybe we will head out early.

I was trying to decide if I should go to the USGP or The 500. If they move Carb day to Friday it will be the 500.

Interesting idea.

I like the Thursday events, but moving to Friday would make it easier on SOME travelers.

I enjoy the down time on Friday and Saturday. Walking around the track on Saturday with a few thousand other folks is always fun.

Hmmm, I vote to leave it on Thursday (is this a poll?)

And besides, I usually take the whole week off and spend time back in IL visiting family. If they move everything to Friday, that means I have .....er I GET, to spend an extra day with my family.

Carb Day is one thing that flat out ain't broke.

For some reason God always grants us great weather on Carb day too.

I think I have figured out the weather thing (and so has everyone else based on attendance).

Carb Day = GREAT WEATHER.
Race Day = 50% chance of anything happening (rain, sleet, sunshine or meccastreisand attack).
Pole Day = Bring your hip boots, and tie down the tent. It's gonna be nasty.
Practice Day = The day you DON'T go will always have great weather. The days you make it to the track you'll get aquainted with jet dryers, and tow truck racing.
Bubble Day = see race day.

I made the initial post last week. It was on their Noon news edition. Once I posted I also looked for a link, verification, etc.

Never was able to confirm it. Guess it's thursday until further update.
