  • ATTENTION GM Racing Group Manager Joe Negri!

Sam needs some help and you are just the guy to give him some help.

Here is an equation for Texas for you:

    (1) Good Gen IV Chevy + (1) extra car from Panther Racing + Greg Beck + Buddy Lazier + Testing = Help for Sam.

Make it happen. Show us you are serious about winning in the Indy Racing League

We don't need his car or his engine... we need his mind and his crew (can't let a second car detract from Sam's effort). What is Panther and Chevy going to do with extra engines and tubs... watch them gather dust in the off season? What are they saving them for?

Buddy Lazier is the one free agent in the Chevy camp capable of mixing it up with the boys at the front. Get him on board!

IIRC.. Panther had a crew and a driver for a second and even third car at Indy.

If they thought it was needed it would be done..

            Beck has nothing Panther needs.

We must never let the facts get in the way.

But other then the original miss-speak, I agree that Panther needs to run another car, with a driver capable of winning, that will bring it home with all the wheels on it and pointing in the right direction, one spot behind Sam's winning car. Buddy Lazier would do that, this is not the race to audition for next season. The other Buddy is under contract, don't start!

Hmmm, didn't Panther prep a top 3 finishing car for Billy Boat to run at the season closer in Texas a few years ago?

If Panther runs another car in Dallas, Chip has 6 cars in the shop and only needs 2 for each driver that would let him run 2 other cars at Dallas this would allow Dixon to have 2 cars between him and Hornish at the finish.

Miles did not see you in Fontana.

I think that Sinden may have "staffed" one of the Indy extras.

Again, I didn't say anything about Greg Beck's POS Illmor. Panther needs a second car that WON'T DISTRACT them from Sam's effort. Greg Beck has been great at that in the past (look at what he did with Cheever last year), so he would be an ideal candidate for running a second car on short notice for Chevy and Panther.

On a related note, one more Panther car finishing ahead of Dixon, Helio and Kanaan is that many more points that THEY won't be getting...
