For those who are from out of state. WJOL 1340 AM provides 3 day radio coverage. Its a small Joliet radio station buts the only one providing radio coverage

I can't even get the online version to work from the IRL site for the quals. I know the volume is up, but I's gettin' no sound.

Last year there was a radio station who did a really nice job with coverage after the IMS network went off the air. They even covered the post race press conferences and had many other interviews with both drivers and excited fans.
I am not sure which one it was but for those heading to the track you might want to scan the dial after the race to get a chance to listen.
I am not sure there is any direct connection but KC has also had similar "extended local coverage" for their races as well.If the league is not going to shift their stance on the fees I would imagine all of the ovals would start being replaced by "chamber of commerce financially supported" TV infomercials dressed up like a car race for different city centers across the USA.Comment
