Next year's race at Motegi will be broadcast live.

14 of the 16 races will feature expanded time slots -- each increasing by 30 minutes to allow more pre-race and post-race coverage.

Seems like I remember hearing claims of increased coverage for this year. I'll believe it when I see it. They need to take much better advantage of the schedule (ie, schedule a race on ABC the day after the Bristol night race!) and no pre-empting by little league sporting events.

Have Foyt miss all the drivers on the track and instead take out the broadcast booth and you'll be guaranteed extensive race coverage by ABC.

I too, also agree that we need to take FULL ADVANTAGE of those NASCAR-free Sundays by scheduling our best tracks around them.

I believe Motegi started around 11PM eastern this year. That would be a prime time show in the west. . .

Us Easterners would get it late, obviously. Would that rate a replay?

Will the broadcast partner do any raplays next year as they did last but not this year? That would be an improvement if they did.

It won't be an improvement unless ABC can convince their affiliates to carry network programming at that time.

True. One of the two affiliates that I get here didn't even run the tape delay this year until 10:30 or 11:30 pm Sunday night.

Poor Page. He's Mr. Indy voice. I'd like to see Jason Priestley and Larry Rice brought back. Even Tom Sneva or Arie Luyendyk woudn't be bad.
