I'm not so sure. This 'two car team' balloon may be just a way for them to keep the door mat out for Sam. They can get busy recruiting for that #2 seat and still hold Sam's seat as available for him (with a big bag of money sitting in his seat).
I'm betting Panther will have one car next year. Seems like they sing the 'two car' song every year about this time. I wish they would, though.

I believe it more now than I did when Sam was still there.
I think Panther was so loyal to Sam that they felt a 2nd car/driver wouldn't get enough attention to be competitive.
Now that Panther is on a driver search, this would be their best shot to run 2 cars and make 2 good IPS/USAC drivers competitive for the IndyCar championship.
My Picks:
J.J. Yeley from USAC
Mark Taylor from Panther's IPS team.- Make a note of the word 'Gobbly-gook'. I like it and I want to use it more often in conversation.

Chevy has stepped up and is making (IMO) Panther their factory effort.

I don't think panther ( or chevy) has much of a choose but to field a two car effert. With RP being the lead car for toyo in both the IRL and NASCAR, comparing notes and interchanging tech. between the two efferts will be very important with both league shorting the private test sessions. I kind of figure that what the RCR conection was all about for panther. My two cents
