Seemed Sam struggled today

Compared to KY it looked like Panther didn't have the setup nearly as locked today.

Great in car of Sam catching a loose car, but we haven't see than in some time. Was Samjust really pushing to ger Helio, or was the setup a bit off?

Nazerath is a tougher track to figure out setups than Kentucky. I don't think Sam struggled today. He could have used maybe five more laps.

I've raced this track on a simulator many times and it is horrible to get a good setup in all the turns. What works well in two is horrible in three...Kind of like Pocono only on a smaller scale.

Helio has a way of making his car VERY WIDE, but he does it subtley.

sam was the only one that raced today from what i could see, the rest drove around and counted on their pit crews...

No fix, but.... If it were another driver than Sam, I might question his not complaining after the race about Helio's blocking tactics at the end. Sam never complains, so that's a moot point.
Helio as much as said he was blocking. He said he learned to use his mirrors in IROC and that Sam was trying high and low. Barnhart said he was going to review the tape. He said Helio would remain the winner either way, but from what he witnessed live, he wasn't head over heels thrilled with some of his moves at the end of the race.

There was a pretty audible groan at Smokey Joe's when Helio got, errrrrrrrr........ wide on the last lap. For most of the race, Helio would drop down to the midle of the straightaway. I don't know if that's considered blocking, but he was certainly taking race track away from anyone who was sizing up a pass.
Was it a message that he would do whatever it took?

Sam had a clear run on Helio, and Helio moved down after Sam did. To me, that's a reaction to the man behind, a reaction to block him. I thought it was wrong, and I hope Barnhart clarifies it.

A little bit of swerving has been going on for awhile, so I don't think it would be right to penalize Helio. But I sure would like to see the line drawn and penalties handed out in the future.

Let's wait to see what Barnhart has to say about it. It's his rules so I don't think it matters what we say. I sure didn't like what Helio did, but I don't blame him because others are getting away with it too.
