I realize this has all been covered before, but I have to say that adding colorful commentators to Paul Page is a must. Goodyear is just to bland for my liking. I respect his career on the track, but he bores me when he speaks, and please just end the conversation with the drivers during yellows, I think I have heard the same three questions for the past two years. Paul Page's voice is IndyCar Racing, but let's make him have some fun with possibly Jackie Stewart and Bobby Unser in the booth. I could see a funny jab coming from Page on his off-season snowmobile announcing directed towards Bobby and his excursion in New Mexico/ Colorado.

You're right - it has been covered. I agree with the "positive" Jason Priestly opinion. He was good, and even has some driving perspective.
Paul has something to work with, and it's very exciting racing. Ultimately either people are going to discover Indy racing or not - regardless of Paul Page.

Like ability, as a reason to justify his being there.
To use Paul's signature line, which drives me into rage, "Paul is two laps behind the race." I have never heard anyone else use that one, he must have worked overtime to come up with that gem.Last edited by Mackie; 08-24-2003, 12:26 PM.

I say bring back JP to liven things up. Maybe he could be the IRL's DW without the boogity. I think they need to get the doc (Punch that is, sorry Doc Ausitn) involved in the IRL broadcasts either in the booth or on pit road. I think I am one of the few who enjoys Page's broadcasting, but I think he needs more to work with too. I'd put Davey and JP in the booth with Page.
