One thing I noticed in several TV interviews this weekend was that drivers had their sunglasses on and took them off for the interview. It almost had to be a league directive. I know almost all of them have some sort of sunglass company and that's fine but as has been mentioned many a time, we need to promote the drivers and a big part of that is seeing their faces. If they have their sponsor hat on and the sunglasses it's what you would wear for a disguise. If they take their sunglasses off you can better see their face and they are more recognizable.

Only driver that can not do that is RBM as he has a thing they call blonde eyes. His eyes start to water in the sun and you only see him without the sunglasses during night races, cloudy days and when he is in the car (has a dark visor because of that. -
rbm sure has eyes for one blonde!

I wish someone someday would drill that point home to the powers that be in NASCAR, where all they do is hide behind shades (and yet, the actual details of who wears what company's glasses contractually aren't anywhere as intuitively well known to the general public as is said contracts in open wheel racing).Originally posted by Z28
