  • ky question

Are long pants/close toed shoes required in both the pit and garage area or just the pits at KY? Anyone know? I have a pass which states that they're required in both, but I know sometimes tracks are more lenient about the paddock.

    Anyone? What's been your experience?

Spook, I don't know if titling your post "ky question" is the right thing to do. (Must get mind out of gutter.)

Spooky, just wear some Daisy Mae's under a pair of jogging pants.

Then shuck 'em and pack'em if you can get away with it.

(light bulbs click on above crews all over the garage area)

          You guys are soooooooo bad!!!

          You pervs!!!

Seriously though, I don't want to have to take back-up clothes......I just want to KNOW what to wear. Is it safe to wear sandals and shorts in the paddock? Seriously.

If you answer me nicely, maybe you'll catch a glimpse of the daisy dukes........

Seriously, don't wear open-toed shoes. That's an easy one. Shorts or long pants? Wear shorts, but take pants just in case.

Oh, I'm so bad its good.

Do they make the pants for women where the legs zip off to become shorts?

Or, shorts, velcro, fabric --> viola, pants!

Sigh. It would be SOOOO much easier if all tracks would just have the same rules.............

I believe the rule is that only people with very nice looking legs and toes can wear shorts and open-toed shoes in the pits... so guide yourself accordingly.

I always wear my shorts to the track and most of the time I remember to put them under my pants!
                      Have a very blessed day!

IIRC, Brian overturned the track's decision and
we were allowed to wear shorts last year.

                        Dunno 'bout the shoes.

I have worn shorts all 3 years so far, and didn't get told I could not wear them the year I had to sign for credentials, or the year I had to sign for a Pit Pass.
