That race is still my favorite. The cars still had enough power to really race. The battle between Boat and Ray was enthralling. It was after that race the IRL began the drops in the rev limiter to control speed.

Yeah, I think Greg Ray has shown that given a decent car he can get good results. Look at all the high budget teams and cars he's been beating. He may not be in the top 5, but he's usually in the top 10, well ahead of other T&H cars and almost all the chevys.

And they have a real racecar paint job.

          That counts for a lot.

For what it's worth, thought I would mention that Greg was very friendly at the autograph session and seemed to be enjoying himself.

I was standing near the Buddy Rice autograph line and couldn't help but notice one of the TrimSpa girls talking to a fine looking woman sitting on the Red Bull scooter, as the TrimSpa gal turned and walked back towards the G Ray autograph line she walked across the undertray for the Red Bull car! One of the Red Bull mechanics took off after her, I would like to have been privy to that conversation.

A lot of people got down on Greg when he was at Menards, but I'd love to have the money to hire all of Menard's ex drivers.

Ded ol' buddy, thanks for the kind words, but I want to make it clear that all I do is sweep the floors and stock the water cooler. I am lucky that these professionals say "excuse me" instead of "get the f### out of the way, because they are doing all of the work.

Where does a new race fan get good info like this?

Yep, right here. THIS is why I've stuck around TF.

                            greg ray rocks.

                            always liked him always will.

what's happend this year is no surprise to me.

and yes , he's the hope of the old irl

                            let's hope next year he's top 5 instead of top 10 .

that's if they come to florida.

                            if they don't , I quit.
                            It's a brand new day.

You can't quit! If you do, I'll kidnap your butt and haul you up here for the Indy 500, and a couple of Night Befores

Hang in there, racefans! It's gonna work out.
