  • Chicagoland ??

I know that the Chicagoland IRL IndyCar race is Sold Out, but if were to be looking to purchase tickets are there any specific seats to avoid?? Or is Chicagoland Speedway similar to KY (I've been there) in having great views from all locations and rows??

    Thanks

I can't imagine a bad seat in the joint, unless it were down low.

Actually, even the low ones (first 5 rows?) aren't that bad.

First year sat around row 60- too high up for my liking.

Second year (and this year) right around row 30- these seats are really good!

If you do need tickets for the Chicago race, please contact Carl Lundin of the IRL Crew at [email protected].

Tickets are available in the range of $37-$47

            Glenn,

I don't believe Carl has been selling tix this year. Is Chicagoland a special deal??

What irks me (maybe its too soon for the truth), DW was a 16-oval WIN specialist, yet the vast majority those boohooing for him, hardcarders & fans, alike are the same ones trying to kill anything with more than 9 deg banking & 4 corners, where Dan ultimately made his home...

Coincidentally, Roadrage and I and a couple of other forum contributors will be driving Indy cars this Sunday at 11 there at Chicagoland. Driving 101 deal. If you're in the 'hood...stop on by.

I communicated with him today about the Chicagoland tickets, and he told me that we ended up getting stuck with some Texas tickets, so I'm fairly confident that we're he's in the swing of things!

Carl, has had tickets for several races. I would suggust getting a seat under the roof or you will get real hot from my experience last year.

There's no roof on Chicagoland, but the press box/ skybox provide some shade if you are in front of them.

The area under the skybox is kinda of considered a roof as it will keep the water off you and shade you from the sun.

Buy your tickets at the lowest price point available and sit wherever you want. That is what I did last year and it worked out fine (did the same thing at MIS this year). There will be plenty of gaps in the seats.

That is one of the benefits of having NASCAR fans pay part of the ticket price for IRL fans. Turn a bug into a feature!
