I'm sure the original plan was made based on relatively high probability that one or possibly two Gen IV's would blow up at Michigan. Not only did it come home in one piece, it arrived only .012 seconds tardy.

your right, besides Indy he didn't show a bunch, but maybe that has something to do with the fact that he had 9 or 10 blown engines. It always seemed to me that Cheever got the good TWR engines and D&R got what ever was left over. As I recall there was a spate of time where he had 9-10 blown engines. I think Sarah had a couple too but I could be mistaken. I thnk Cheever and Schecter had 1 or 2 all year between them. Most of their problems were crashes...... When Buhl is on he can run with anyone. I remember the season final in Texas in 91. He was there the whole race. The last 30 or so laps was stand on your seats and cheer time.
Originally posted by trevor83 Little bit different situation. Gen 4 haves and have nots are based on supply. All will eventually have them by Kentucky. Chevy A and Chevy B were based on who was in the inner circles and who was not. And you weren't getting one unless someone liked you or unless you had incriminating photos of a Chevy executive.
And of course the Chevy A and B situation was fixed the very next year. Now about those A (HPD) and B (Ilmor) Hondas, when is one of the B motors look capable of winning? Or is Herta suddenly better and more consistent on an oval than Brack?
