Shirley Muldowney - "Inside Racing" 8/28

I have just confirmed that the legendary Shirley Muldowney will be a guest on the 8/28 verson of my "Inside Racing" radio show - she'll be there the entire hour.

The show is from 8-9:00 pm, LIVE from Union Jack Pub in Speedway, Ind. It can be heard on WKLU (KOOL) 101.9 FM.

Shirley's real Mac Tools race car (not a show car) may be on display in front of the building, too - waiting to find out if it is available.

Stay tuned...there should be one more blockbuster announcement about this upcoming "Salute to the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals" show coming soon - just waiting on a confirmation.

Believe me, this will be a show you won't want to miss!

I am still "investigating",,, no info yet... One restaurant by that name in Haiku,,, but didn't find out much more,,, on the Lodge... I can't even find the post now...

Supose to be a great restaurant,,, it's in the Cannery "Complex"... Complex,,,LOL,,, you just wait til you see what we call a "Complex"...

At Shirley Muldowney's age ,,, Cha Cha might be ok,,, now... She use to stop in my joint every year,,, when she was on the west coast... She was a beautiful woman,,, just gorgeous... Nice lady too...

BTW, Jeff, my neighbor use to work w/Garlits on Swamp Rat 34, and he says that Big Daddy and Shirley do not like each other at all, and that Muldowney is very fowl-mouthed...

It's a show called Indy Racing, and it's live, put them together and it's Indy Racing Live, or IRL, reason enough to be here.

shirley and big just match raced at englishtown nj 3 weeks ago.

they are a great draw together. the 2 biggest legends in the sport.

I just hope they can both be competitive next week.

especially don. he's been struggling the few times he's been out this year.

man. indy is a magnet and I am steel.

I don't have a problem with nitro news.

I have a problem with non-IRL threads on the IRL board.

This same exact topic is already on nitorfans nitro action, where it belongs...

anyway, shirley 's been match racing consistently for many years.

rahn tobler gets her into the 4.80's on any track no matter the condition.

big broke at half track on one pass and went up in smoke on the other from what a read.

As for why this is on the IRL board, it's because events like the U.S. Nationals - the biggest drag race in the world, are more of an event that general racing fans enjoy, whether you follow drag racing or not. Also, I have many friends that frequent this IRL message board who also come to my radio shows, so I wanted to let everyone - racing fans of all different series - know about the upcoming show.
