Just one more reason to live in southern california. No Womens Highschool basketball pre-empting the IRL race. We may not have Tenderloins, but we get to watch the IRL next saturday.

I wish that I could report the same for Houston, BUT, We will miss the first :30min for the Rodeo Houston Steer Auction. It raises alot of money for charity but does it deserve to be on live?

You'll all be happy to know that I was able to make contact with both the Vice-President of Advertising Sales for the ABC Networks and the Director of Affiliate Relations for the ANC Networks.

I reported the contrary affiliates, and suggested some pressure from New York might be in order, because...

A. Affiliates that drop network programming will virtually ensure any delivery guarantees made to advertisers are interrupted.

B. It does not make good business sense to let affiliates haphazardly bump quality programming.

We also discussed 'scorched earth.' For all you curious Troy-based fans who innocently ask 'what is scorched earth?', this is one aspect.

Both assured me this would be dealt with swiftly, but that it might be too late to change decisions at the local level for Homestead.

Just thought you'd like to know.
