The Northeast media is calling for the IRL to return to NHIS...

The Bahres and NHIS did NOTHING to help promote the IRL when they ran there. I say NO to New Hampshire. Disney, Charlotte, Atlanta, and Las Vegas are all better venues for IRL racing.

Well honestly, it's good to be wanted for a change. For a long while, the IRL was the "ugly step child."

Perhaps it's just me, but it sounds arrogant to even suggest a return to NHIS given that they didn't weather the years when the IRL needed support the most. Suddenly the product is "good enough" for them now? I also thought the parting with the IRL wasn't smooth either - wasn't there some sort of "I don't want 'em back," versus a "we're not coming back" arguement? Does anyone remember the sepcifics? It may have even spread to Las Vegas.

I say let's wait and see what happens when they reconstruct the track for NASCAR...
No weather forecasts are ever guaranteed, even if confidence level is high. Even a 99% probability will miss 1% of the time. That's the best anybody can do when predicting highly complex events.

I recently attended the sedan races at NHIS and thoroughly enjoyed myself, very nice facility, easy acceess, very fan friendly. HOWEVER, my daughter (who attends college in North Carolina and is very Nascar aware) took the words out of my mouth when she observed, "I've never seen so many hillbillies in all my life!"
I don't mean that as a slam, it just didn't seem to be the type of crossover crowd that has swelled the Nascar attendance in so many areas. I really doubt there is sufficient fan base for the IRL in that area.
"A lot of information on the Internet quickly occupies niche spaces, for specialized audiences, which use it for their own purposes."

Same solution that I have for the road courses...

            Really, REALLY high sanctioning fees...
