    And kept quiet about it.
I'm from a place called the internet. Nothing disturbs me.

It did. But the story at that time was that he had simply had one kidney removed. The transplant part is new.

I must have missed it. There would have been outsiders who knew. Business contacts if no one else.

Penske did it his way, as he always does. No surprise here.

Does it matter? It's not like he's an elected official and we 'gots' to know.

Man in his 80's has an operation, not exactly headline news and not exactly any of our business. Happy he's doing well but I'm not surprised we didn't hear about it

Glad he's doing well but don't understand why this thread is necessary.

Strange it was so quite but glad it went well. I have a lot of time for the man. If he speaks, you listen.

My 8th grade science teacher got a kidney transplant from his wife, but that wasn't published in the newspapers.

My brother gave me a kidney in 2005

I’m surprised he said he was working 10 days later

I was quarantined for four months because of the immunosuppressant anti rejection drugs

Where were you in quarantine? Has your brother's health been
                        well since then?

The story here is less of the operation and more about how nobody knew in this day and age where everybody knows everything of every single person in the limelight.

I stayed at my mothers house untill I got over the surgery couldn’t have visitors other than my mom my dad and my brother then I stayed at my house and just went for walks Along the river near my house every day...couldn’t be around other people

As far as my brother the surgery itself was much tougher on him than it was me and the recovery was harder as well which was a bit hard to live with

Once he recovered he’s been in good health since

He wouldn't tell me where he got it.
